A question I often receive is, “how long will it take to manifest _____in my life? This is really impossible to answer because the time it takes for a thing to show up in your life is unpredictable. Some things come quickly–and others take longer and come in a very runabout way over time. But one thing is for certain: what you consistently keep at the center of your attention will be attracted to you.

If what you desire is greater wealth (notice I said, “greater” because as you should know–you already are wealthy), my best tip would be to NOT focus on how wealth is going to come into your life, but just focus on you having it. Continue reading »

Here’s the simplest statement I can make regarding visualizing wealth:Money Pile It works!

Having coached hundreds of  successful “visualizers” and used this technique personally for years, I can attest to the incredible power of “seeing it in order to achieve it.”

But many people need a little help when they begin using visualization techniques, and particularly when they are attempting to visualize wealth. It can be easy to lose concentration or, if your financial situation is quite bad, it can be difficult to even get a clear mental image of wealth. So let’s address a few of the most common issues: Continue reading »

”Fear is the path to the dark side” – Yoda (the little green dude from Star Wars)

At any given moment, you are either in the competitive mindset or the creative mindset. It’s always one or the other, but never both. A creative mindset attracts; a competitive mindset repels. It really is that simple, and here’s why:

The concept of competition is based upon fear: fear of failure, fear of someone else taking what you want, fear that there won’t be enough to go around, fear of being taken advantage of, or laughed at, or criticised or rejected. Fear is the fuel of the competitive mindset and it keeps millions of people living in lack, limitation, misery and poverty.

To attract our desires, it is necessary to think from a different perspective, a perspective of abundance, opulence, well-being and joy. That’s why the (fear-based) competitive mindset must be overcome.

But I’ll be the first to admit, it is sometimes difficult not to think competitively. I’ve been studying the Law of Attraction for many years and I still have days where the old competitive voice trys to “creep back in” and direct my thoughts and actions. Luckily, that voice is not nearly as strong these days, and I’m usually able to shut it down quickly.

Something that has helped me greatly is to become extremely picky about what I will allow “on my radar.” Not watching films or reading books or magazines that are based on conflict or competitive thought (or even getting into conversations about these things). It has taken some time to drop some of these old habits, but it has really been worth the effort. I try to remember:

“If it’s not something I want in my life, I don’t want to know about it.”

I find that the more “selective” I get about this, the less competitive thought is an issue. I call this being a ”media snob” :-) and it really does help reduce the competitive mindset. There’s a lot of discussion about this attitude in the AttractAnything! Video series ( www.attractanything.com) and it’s probably the most important thing I work on with clients in one-on-one training sessions. Dropping that fear-based competitive mindset really opens up the world. It makes “real magic” possible.

The little green dude was right: fear (and it’s ugly cousin, competition) really is the path to the “dark side.”

I received an email from a friend in Denmark a few days ago with an outrageously good line in it. He said “I wouldn’t sneak up on life and steal it’s wallet.” First I laughed; then I began to appreciate what a great line this is, but after a while, I began to feel that his  (admittedly funny and original) comment was spreading the wrong message.

The truth is you should sneak up on life and steal it’s wallet–that’s what you are supposed to do!

In fact, life want’s you to “steal it’s wallet.” You don’t even have to sneak up on it! Our Universe is standing there with it’s wallet already out, and it’s trying it’s best to give it to you! Don’t believe me? Let’s have a look at the facts:

We are surrounded by wealth, prosperity, health, joy and abundance of every type. The only “catch” is, most of us have been conditioned to only look for what is wrong, what is bad, what is poor, sick, limited or inadequate.

We are conditioned to look for problems, so what do you suppose we usually find…?

When we begin appreciating the outrageous wealth that already surrounds us, we begin attracting more of it. And yes, what I’m talking about here is gratitude. When we really “wake up” and begin to see how rich and blessed we are, we immediately change the vibration we are in from one of lack and limitation, to one of opulence and abundance. And this changes what we attract.

It took me decades to figure out this one simple rule of nature: “You won’t get more in your life until you appreciate what you already have.” But better late then never right? And I can assure you, I never had true wealth and happiness in my life until I learned to focus on these things and appreciate the good that was already there in front of me the whole time.

Take five minutes out of your busy life right to think about the wealth, joy and abundance you already have. Dig deep, you will find it. And for Pete’s sake, do it right now! Take action in the moment. Don’t delay–do it now!

Seems like every day I receive an email asking my opinion on “The Secret.” Rhonda Byrne’s wildly popular documentary on the Law of Attraction has certainly made waves: Oprah, CNN, Newsweek and many other “heavy hitters” in the media have aired special reports on “The Secret” in the past few months, but the question on so many minds (and maybe even yours) is, does “The Secret” accurately explain The Law of Attraction and how to use it to attract health, wealth and happiness?

As a follower of the Law of Attraction for many years, and a Law of Attraction Coach for the last five, it is my considered opinion that “The Secret” is a great introduction to this philosophy–it doesn’t go nearly far enough in explaining the use of LOA in everyday life, but then again, what can we really expect from a two hour documentary that is aimed at a mass audience?

But for what it is (an introduction), The Secret does an admirable job. It is highly motivational, and I take nothing away from the film at all, especially when you consider the messages of most films released every year. So, despite it’s shortcomings, it’s pretty hard to see The Secret as anything but a success.

Much of the critisicm that has been levelled at”The Secret” has been in regard to what it leaves out: taking ACTION. Many of the emails I receive ask the same question: “Is it true that all I really need to do is ask, believe and receive?” And honestly, the short answer is no.

”Inspired Action’ is only briefly mentioned in “The Secret,” mostly by Bob Doyle and Dr. Joe Vitale. Personally I would have liked to have seen much more discussion about the importance of “inspired action” in The Secret, because it is critical to understanding how to use the LOA in your life.

It would certainly be interesting to see the out-takes where Dr Vitale, Bob Doyle, James Ray, Bob Proctor and other teachers from The Secret discuss the importance of taking action. I get the distinct impression that there was some valuable information left on the cutting room floor…

Something for the sequel maybe?

Wishing you ever increasing success and joy,
