Visualizing Wealth
Here’s the simplest statement I can make regarding visualizing wealth:
It works!
Having coached hundreds of successful “visualizers” and used this technique personally for years, I can attest to the incredible power of “seeing it in order to achieve it.”
But many people need a little help when they begin using visualization techniques, and particularly when they are attempting to visualize wealth. It can be easy to lose concentration or, if your financial situation is quite bad, it can be difficult to even get a clear mental image of wealth. So let’s address a few of the most common issues:
If you are visualizing wealth and you start to lose concentration, it is important to not feel bad about it. Just put it aside, come back to it later and feel 100% fine about that (self acceptance). Also, if you’re having this problem a lot, set your visualization goals a bit smaller to start with.
Even if you can only visualize for 1 minute (or 30 seconds) that’s fine. You can build up as you go. The important thing is that you feel good about what you are doing, even if your visualization sessions only last a few seconds at a time. Incidentally, one research study claims that visualizing anything mentally for as little as 17 seconds (!) begins changing your brain chemistry.
So feel great about whatever you are comfortable doing for now. You can always improve later. And I cannot overstate the importance of feeling good about the process and any progress you make, even if it is tiny at first. Which brings me to the next important point…
“It is easier to improve a good situation than to try to “fix” a bad one.”
When I work with clients, I tell them up front that I will ONLY work with individuals who are IMPROVING a good situation, not trying to fix bad ones, so if they wish to proceed they must first decide that their situation is already good (regardless of what they thought in the past, or any so-called “facts” to the contrary).
Visualizing wealth is all about contrast. You need to see your current situation in the best possible light. I’m not suggesting a pollyanna “wishful thinking” approach to life, but actually a research-proven technique. And here’s where you start:
Get out a sheet of paper and list at least 10 things that are good about your situation right now! Get your mind busy looking for what is right, NOT what “appears” to be wrong. This may require you to completely ignore some aspects of your current situation and open your eyes to others, but you CAN do it. There is always both good and bad in every situation. We choose which of these realities we will focus on most and believe in.
One of the best ways to do this is by making a gratitude list several times a day. You don’t always have to write it down; you can make a mental list sometimes. I often do this in my car or any time I have a few minutes to kill.
This simple exercise WILL change your focus onto what is good about your life right now, including the zillions of way that you are already wealthy. And because attitude is everything, the more you focus on wealth, the more you get wealth. It takes a little time to develop these habits, but it really is that simple.
Visualizing wealth on a daily basis is a major step forward in your life. Try it for just one month–you’ll soon see for yourself. Oh, and I’ll try not to say, “I told you so!”

Thanks for post. Nice to see such good ideas.
Interesting article, adding it to my boomarks!
Just read some other comments on your blog, and I agree with the general impression, your doing a great job!
What is the difference of this system with classical goal setting system.?
)
You set a goal, focus on it and try to reach.
They change it to loa and sell in a new name.
Hi Imhkki, I see the Law of Attraction as much more than a method of setting and attaining goals (though it’s fine for that too). It is based on a world-view that holds that all is energy (or as Einstein put it, “matter and energy are two different states of the same thing”). This means that WE are energy too, and we are bound by the laws of energy.
So if we (and everything else) are energy, what can we actually “know” about energy? Here are three facts straight out of high school science 101: 1. All energy has a frequency (vibration). 2. Energy can neither be created or destroyed. 3. Like energy tends to attract.
LOA followers use this knowledge to create better realities for themselves, by recognizing that our emotions (feelings) determine our vibrational state. And that to attain or “be” something, we must be aligned with it in frequency (vibration). In other words, we have to “feel” it, and feel that we are already at one with whatever we desire.
This requires us to “tune out” the illusion that we are separate from other people and things, and see ourselves as fundamentally unified with all. In this sense, the Law of Attraction is a complete paradigm shift for most people, and goes far beyond the (admittedly useful) processes involved in goal setting.
For me, discovering the LOA led to a completely different way of seeing the world (and myself).
